Developing a leading portfolio of critical-mineral assets in Southern Africa

Sable Ridge Metals is a private UK mining company exploring and developing tin and lithium-bearing pegmatite projects across four tenements in the Mwenda Belt, one of the region's most prospective and least-explored LCT pegmatite districts.

About

A focused, technically-led explorer in a district mined for tin since the 1930s

Sable Ridge Metals is dedicated to developing mining projects in highly prospective regions of Africa. Our portfolio sits in the Mwenda Belt, an area rich in LCT (lithium–caesium–tantalum) pegmatite intrusions where tin has been produced from artisanal and small-scale workings since the 1930s.

We hold four tenements totalling 9,780 hectares, from the fully-permitted Kalimba Project in the south to the 6,050-hectare Broad Valley licence in the north-east. Our approach combines modern remote sensing (ASTER satellite surveys), systematic surface sampling and the deep local knowledge of a team that has worked in the region's mining industry for decades.

Commodities

Five metals the energy transition can't do without

Our pegmatites carry a suite of critical minerals — the same intrusions host lithium, tin, tantalum and niobium, so a single project can deliver several products.

LithiumLi

Battery production for EVs and grid storage. Demand is expected to increase around five-fold by 2030.

Spodumene, montebrasite and lepidolite identified at Kalimba.
TinSn

Solder for semiconductors and electronics. Market forecast to reach ~US$10bn by 2032.

Hard-rock grades up to 22.1% Sn at Nsanje Hill.
TantalumTa

Capacitors for electronics, aerospace alloys and medical implants.

19.4% Ta in Kalimba West concentrate samples.
NiobiumNb

High-strength steel, superconductors and medical applications. US$3–4.8bn market by 2032.

10.2% Nb in Kalimba West concentrate samples.
